Born June 22, 1984 in Belgrade, Siberia to parent's father, Pavel a professor, Mother, Vesna a housewife. Janko started playing tennis at the age of 6 and then turned professional in 2002. When Janko was young he looked up to Andre Agassi. Janko is currently ranked #9 from the ATP as a right handed player, and currently coached by German Dirk Hordorff and assistant coached by his brother Veljko who is two years his junior, who is attending university.
Some of Janko's major accomplishments include 2002 Best Male Tennis Player in Yugoslavia, 2003 Best Male Tennis Player in Yugoslavia, 2004 Best Male Tennis Player in Serbia and Montenegro, two ATP tour Championships, nine tournament in the ATP Challenger series, and 2001 Australian Open Junior title.
When Janko is off the tennis court he enjoys snowboarding, house music, reading psychiatry books, and World of Warcraft. Janko has several Tattoos on his arms, and back with various Japaness Literature inscriptions. Janko married TV Host Biljana Sesevic on July 4, 2010 in Belgrade.
Janko's grandmother is a avid fan as well and she keeps a journal of all his events. Janko finished his degree in Sports management from University in Belgrade. Janko is fluent in Serbian, English, and Russian. Janko and his wife currently still reside in Belgrade, Serbia.'
